What is Umrah?
Affordable Umrah Packages make it easier for Muslims to undertake Umrah, a highly recommended act of worship in Islam, though it is not one of the five pillars. It is both a financial and physical form of worship, involving visits to sacred sites in Mecca, such as the Kaaba, and performing specific rituals. While Hajj is obligatory once in a lifetime for those who meet the necessary conditions, Umrah is a voluntary pilgrimage that can be performed at any time of the year. If a person has the financial means but is unable to physically perform Umrah due to illness or old age, they may appoint a representative to perform it on their behalf. Affordable Umrah Packages provide a convenient and cost-effective way to complete this spiritual journey, allowing pilgrims to focus on their devotion and seeking closeness to Allah.
In terminology, to visit the special place (the Kaaba and the surrounding sacred sites) at any time of the year and perform the prescribed actions (including Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i, and Tahallul) is called Umrah. While Umrah is not obligatory like Hajj, it is a significant and rewarding act of worship that brings spiritual benefits, including the forgiveness of sins. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) encouraged Muslims to perform Umrah as a means of seeking Allah's mercy and purification.
